At Y Engage, we believe that every young person deserves the opportunity to thrive in education—no matter their journey. We are an alternative provision designed for students in Year 7 to Year 13, providing a dynamic and supportive environment where learning is reimagined.

Our approach blends education and sport, using physical activity as a powerful tool to re-engage students who may have become disengaged from traditional schooling. Through structured learning, mentoring, and a variety of sports activities, we help young people rebuild confidence, develop essential life skills, and work towards academic and personal success.

Maximum Impact
At Y Engage, we believe that the size of a group plays a crucial role in shaping learning outcomes and behavioural impact. That’s why we ensure that our group sessions never exceed 15 participants.
Smaller groups create a more focused, supportive, and interactive environment where every individual is seen and heard. This allows our facilitators to engage meaningfully with each participant, fostering deeper discussions, stronger connections, and more personalised guidance.

Become a Young Leader at Y Engage
At Y Engage, we believe in empowering young people to take ownership of their learning and development. Through peer mentoring, students have the opportunity to step into leadership roles, build confidence, and inspire others. As part of this journey, students will have the chance to plan and deliver their own sessions, developing essential communication, teamwork, and coaching skills.
This hands-on experience is supported by the opportunity to achieve the AQA Level 1 Coaching Award, a valuable qualification that recognises their leadership and mentoring abilities.

At Y Engage, we are committed to ensuring that every young person has the opportunity to succeed—both in education and beyond. While sport is at the heart of our approach, we also recognise the importance of core academic skills.
To support our students' educational progression, we provide dedicated learning time for English and Maths using the Good2Learn online platform. This interactive and engaging resource helps students build essential skills at their own pace, reinforcing their confidence in these key subjects.
